Salutations, my name is Vance, and I am raising funds for my Eagle Scout project benefiting The Generous Horse Project in Driftwood, Texas.

The Generous Horse Project treats trauma patients through a nature-oriented approach, focusing on time and reflection. Horses are used somewhat similarly to therapy dogs--they're calm animals that one can develop emotional connections with.

For the project, I will be creating a "Contemplation Tree" area on the property, designed for meditation and group activities. The project will also be clearing nearby brush piles to reduce fire risk and make the area more visually appealing.

Funds raised will help cover the cost of tools and supplies needed to complete the project, notably the wood chipper for disposing of the brush and the food for participants.

This project is important to me because I'm creating exactly the type of space that I'd want for peaceful reflection; when I was touring the property, what really sold me on the idea was imagining myself lying up in one of the tree's branches while reading a book.
