Support Van Tassel Park Eagle Scout Fence

My name is RJ, I am a Boy Scout in Somers Troop 228 and a varsity football player, and for my Eagle Scout project, I am leading the effort to build a fence around Van Tassel Memorial Park and the area behind the local police station. This park is a historical part of our town, providing a safe and welcoming space for families, children, and community events. The new fence will help protect the park and ensures that everyone can enjoy it safely for years to come.

I chose this project because Van Tassel Memorial Park and the police station are important to our town’s sense of community and security. With the help of volunteers and fellow Boy Scouts, we will install fence posts around multiple entrances to the property, focusing on both the park and the area behind the police station. The work will include clearing land, setting posts, and making sure the fence would stand strong against the elements.

The work is in progress, and we are seeking support to cover the costs of materials, equipment, and food for the volunteers who made this project possible. Your contribution will help us make sure the project is fully funded and that our town continues to benefit from a safer, more secure park and police station area.
