For those who don’t know me, my name is Valerie, & I am a veterinary technician from El Monte/La Habra. I spend most of my time in animal nursing or rescuing animals.

Early Sunday I was involved in a pretty serious car accident where I believe mechanical failure happened. The car flipped 2-3 times. I was pulled out the passengers side by a random person and lost consciousness where I was transported to a nearby trauma center.

I only remember waking up to them cutting my clothes open in the hospital.

While I am still trying to make sense of what happened, I know I am very lucky to be alive.

Prior to this incident 4 years ago I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia, which causes chronic body pain daily. This incident has only exacerbated my condition and has left me unable to do many of my normal activities. Anything helps.
