Support UT Austin's Medical Brigade to Belize-Advika Sharma

My name is Advika Sharma, and I am a freshman at the University of Texas at Austin on a pre-med track. I am extremely passionate about medicine and combating healthcare disrepancies around the world. After experiencing the scarcity of trusted hospitals and insufficient medical education in underserved communities firsthand, I made it my goal to make an international impact, traveling to underserved communities, aiding in medical practice, and bringing healthcare to places where it is lacking.

That is why I joined Global Medical Brigades at the University of Texas at Austin, an organization that focuses on using a holistic model to improve healthcare and create a sustainable medical system to meet each isolated community's needs (learn more here). We are organizing a medical brigade to one such community in Belize in January 2025, to provide free health clinics, access to doctors and medications, and public health education.

My goal is to raise enough money for this brigade, so that we can bring healthcare to local communities that may not have the best resources. I greatly appreciate all help you can provide! Thanks!
