On Sept 2nd and 3rd 2022, The USA Men’s U19 Floorball team qualified to represent North America in the World Floorball Championships on April 26th-30th 2023 in Frederikshavn Denmark by beating Canada 20-9 in two qualifying games. This is the first time in 12 years of U19 competition that USA qualified on their own team merits.
This incredible opportunity of a lifetime for these 20 young men to represent their country and wear the red white and blue on their jerseys in a foreign country comes with a lot of pride, but also a lot of costs. Each team member has already paid for their travel and initial team fees, and this fundraiser is to help the team and USA Floorball keep their subsequent fees to as small an amount as possible.
The team will travel to Gothenburg Sweden and spend 3 days in essential training with local teams to prepare for the tournament before taking a ferry to Denmark and spending the next week competing in the World Championships. Hotels and food in Sweden, hotels and food in Denmark, transport within Europe, and team kit needs are estimated to be a cost of $25-30,000.00.
