Arsalan Farooq Memorial Aviation Scholarship (via Upwind)

In memory of Arsalan Farooq, who passed away after a courageous battle with colon cancer, we invite you to honor his passion for aviation by supporting the Upwind Foundation at the San Carlos Flight Center.

Arsalan's love for flying began earlier than most, he was born on an airforce base where his father was a fighter pilot. Later, he realized his own dream of learning to fly at the San Carlos Flight Center . Aviation wasn't just a hobby for Arsalan—He deeply valued the flying community and was passionate about giving young people the opportunity to get into the transformative of experience of flight!

The Upwind Foundation continues this spirit by providing flight training opportunities for teenagers, helping young people discover the same passion that meant so much to Arsalan. The foundation offers scholarships, mentorship, and pathways into aviation careers for students who might not otherwise have access to these opportunities.

This memorial fund and Irina, Zimran and Saenan will be donating one scholarship per year to the Upwind Foundation.
