Help recover from Wildfire: Loss of School and Home

We have been severely impacted by the Eaton Fire:

Donations are helping young children.

My daughter Haven Murray (6y) lost her School. Younger cousin Addisyn Betts (15y) lost her Home.

Younger cousin Rebekayh Betts (12y) lost her Home, and School.

I am Haley Murray, from Pasadena, Ca and Heartbreakingly, the Fire has completely burned down my six year old daughter’s School that has been apart of the Altadena, CA Community for 18 years, tragically bringing it down to an entire reduce of ashes, steel, and memories. Pasadena Rosebud Academy.

Devastatingly, three blocks below her school, would have stood my younger cousin’s— Rebekayh Betts (12) and Addisyn Betts (15)— home in Altadena, CA. Unfortunately, their Generational Home was also engulfed by the Eaton Fire, entirely. Immediate relatives have lived in the home for over 60+ years. The impact of the Eaton Fire has been profound, and far-reaching.

• As we navigate through this unforeseen, overwhelming, and uncontrollable situation, we’re reaching out for support and assistance during this challenging time. We are truly humbled, and grateful for any help you can provide.

• 50% of Donations will go towards essential items that are often overlooked in devastating situation. This Ranges from Mattress’s & Bed Frames for both Teenage Girls, to School supplies, and Uniforms that are now in ashes. This is just name a few, along with other necessities.

We welcome any contribution amount that you’re able to help out with, in this tremendously life challenging time.

• The remaining 50% of Donations will support ChildCare Assistance as we come to the realization of the Eaton Fire, and confront the challenging questions of what’s to come next. The reality is, it takes a School, at minimum, 18-24 months to be (re)built. We are left wondering about the support for displaced students during this critical time. With the questions that remain in effect, support with ChildCare Assistance donations will range from Tuition, after-school tutoring, Summer break Assistance, to Uniforms, Supplies, and Backpacks.

This heart-wrenching situation extends beyond our family. The majority of our Altadena/Pasadena Community has been deeply affected which includes a numeral of Family member’s Homes, Properties, Businesses, School’s that we grew up in, Playground Structures, Hiking Trails, Stores, Restaurants, etc.,— with all concluding in 0% containment.
