My name is Henry Hornung, a student at William Mason High School in Mason, Oh. This year I began a national program called United Sound at my high school. United Sound provides curriculum, materials, and support for our local chapter. United Sound is a nationwide program that allows students with special needs to have the experience of playing in a musical ensemble. Throughout the semester myself and many student mentors have worked with our 9 students musicians to learn their instruments and music. These students will play their first concert on December 10th and will show off all their hard work. In order to keep our chapter funded we have to cover the $2500 chapter fee. Any bit helps, so please donate whatever you can, and know it is going toward a wonderful group of students.

My inspiration for this came from the opportunity to see a United Sound Chapter at the 2025 National Concert Band Festival. After seeing the amazing impact this program was having I decided that this needed to happen at my own high school.

As a Boy Scout I decided this was something I was passionate about for an Eagle Scout Project with a lasting impact for all of our musicians and mentors.
