Support Ukrainian Family in Gibsons

A young Ukrainian family is moving to Gibsons, arriving on Saturday, May 14th. They are currently sheltering in Turkey and will be moving in with a local family (Robin, Jordan and Mera) as they transition to a full and thriving life here. Their names are Anatolli, Inna and Timmy, who is 15 months old. Anatolli is a computer specialist, and Inna is a wedding planner. They speak conversational English. They will only have what they could carry with them. The funds raised here will assist with food, clothes, diapers and home supplies. We appreciate any support for this family, as we can only imagine how it would be to be starting fresh with a young child in a new country. Two generations ago, my family did the same thing. My grandparents came to Canada with only the clothes they were wearing as refugees and it is thanks to the kindness of friends and strangers that they built an amazing life in Canada.

 

To ensure complete transparency in this fundraiser, the money raised will be given directly to the Ukranian family. I am helping Robin and Jordan because they run an amazing farm and have a lot on their plate right now!
