I'm teaming up with my fellow "Bloke in the Pub," Ciaran the Euro Van Driver, to take a van filled with urgently-needed supplies to Ukrainian refugees currently fleeing Putin's cruel and illegal war.
We'll be leaving the UK on Monday, March 21, with an empty van as Brexit has made it difficult to get humanitarian aid out of the country.
Once safely in the EU, we'll be picking up bandages, dressings, antiseptic solutions, pre-cooked food, sandwiches, biscuits, sanitary products, nappies, wet-wipes, toothpaste, toothbrushes and shower gel (as recommended here
We plan to drop these supplies off at an official refugee support depot in Lublin, Poland.
Ciaran and I will be livestreaming and fundraising along the way for a range of Ukrainian charities. We plan for 100% of the money we raise to go directly towards helping the people of Ukraine.
You can follow our progress, live and interactive, on YouTube
Ciaran has been driving goods around Europe for over a decade and famously took on Jacob Rees-Mogg
over what Brexit would do to imports, exports and just-in-time delivery.
Ciaran and I were both active in the pro-EU "Remain" movement and were founding members of the "Three Blokes In A Pub" series.
What's happening in Ukraine is shocking and sickening. We must stand together against tyranny. Your support would mean the world to us.
