Support UIC’s African Student Association
Donation protected
ASA at UIC is working hard to create a vibrant and supportive community for African students and allies on campus. In the past, ASA gave students a space to feel at home, to celebrate culture, build friendships, and connect with others who understand their background and experiences. For many of us, it was the first place we truly felt seen on campus.
This year, we’re hoping to bring that same energy back. We have plans for cultural mixers, food tastings, and dance nights, collaborations with other student orgs, conversations about identity and diaspora, and outreach in Chicago neighborhoods. We also want to start fresh traditions like bigger cultural showcases and mentorship programs for incoming African students.
Donations will go toward event supplies, food, room bookings, decor, and outreach. If ASA has ever made you feel welcomed, supported, or celebrated, or if you believe in the importance of cultural community on college campuses, we’d be grateful for your support. Thank you for reading and sharing.
