Hello! My name is Ugwum Nwaubani and I am a third year medical student. Next January 2026 I plan to conduct a medical mission trip to Southeast Nigeria, specifically Abia State, through an organization I created named Nyem Aka. This initiative aims to conduct essential health screenings and provide immediate primary services care in the areas of General Health Status Screening, Women’s Health, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology and Dermatology. Given the limited access to healthcare in the region, our mission seeks to offer vital services that can be implemented quickly and efficiently on the day of each clinic.

Mission Objectives:

Provide basic women’s health screenings for reproductive health, including breast exams, urogynecological exams and pregnancy care.

Conduct pediatric health checks, focusing on nutrition, growth, and vaccination status.

Offer basic dermatological assessments for common skin conditions and basic wound care.

Provide eye and vision screenings, pressure checks and provide glasses to people of need.
