Support Tzfat, Israel Artists in Memory of Yehoshua Finkelstein
Sixteen years ago, 4 Adar 5769, Feb 28 2009 we lost Yehoshua—our beloved son, brother, and friend. He left behind a legacy of love, creativity, and deep connection that continues to inspire us every day.
This year, to honor his memory, we are committed to supporting the artists of Tzfat, a city celebrated for its mystical beauty and vibrant artistic heritage.
The past year has been especially difficult for these artists. The ongoing war in Israel has forced many to close their shops, just as they were beginning to recover from the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Without a platform to share their work, they face not only financial strain but also the loss of their creative voice.
These talented individuals are the heart and soul of Tzfat, yet they are now confronted with unprecedented struggles.
In Yehoshua’s memory, we hope to raise funds to directly support these artists—helping them meet essential needs, purchase materials, and continue their creative endeavors when circumstances improve.
To amplify the impact of this effort, we have a generous matching offer: the first 36 contributions of up to $250 each will be matched, turning $9,000 into $18,000.
Yehoshua’s life was filled with purpose, and this initiative to sustain creativity and resilience reflects his spirit in a profoundly meaningful way.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference—bringing hope and light to those who enrich the world through their gifts.
Thank you for standing with us to honor Yehoshua’s memory and uplift the artists of Tzfat during these challenging times.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Rivka Finkelstein
