Dear Friends and Family,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support as I fight to bring my daughter, Tessa, back home. I’m facing mounting legal expenses, and I have just 10 days to secure the funds needed for this critical battle.
In March 2023, Jessica, Tessa’s mother, made the heartbreaking decision to leave us, saying she was struggling with her mental health and unsure if she wanted to be a mom anymore. Over the months that followed, her involvement in Tessa’s life was sporadic, while her behavior grew increasingly aggressive. I also discovered her infidelity, which left me with both emotional pain and medical repercussions.
By July, she demanded half of the home we shared, despite never contributing to it, and when I accepted a job in Colorado to build a better future for Noah, Tessa, and me, she began to take drastic measures. She tricked me into taking Tessa to her daycare, withdrew her, and informed me via text that she was keeping Tessa from me until custody papers were signed—a process that could take years.
Desperate to protect Tessa, I went to Jessica’s house, where my daughter let me in. I took her with me to Colorado to shield her from the instability we’d endured. But Jessica retaliated with false allegations of abuse, forcing me to return Tessa to her and leaving me with a protective order. As if this weren’t enough, Jessica is now falsely claiming that we were informally married, despite us never being married or agreeing to such a union. She is using this baseless claim to siphon more money and resources from me during this legal fight, further complicating an already uphill battle. On top of this, Jessica has gone as far as telling the court that my family are terrible people who cannot be trusted. These cruel accusations not only hurt me, but also the people who have been my rock and Tessa’s loving support system.
This past year has been a relentless legal battle. Jessica has worked tirelessly to erase me from Tessa’s life, limiting our time together to just two weekends a month, assaulting me, and playing games with our appointed calls. Tessa comes to me excited, but when it’s time to return, she cries, kicks, and begs to stay with me. Jessica has even attempted to support the mother of my son, Noah, in stripping me of parental rights. Despite all this, in December 2024, I was awarded primary custody of Noah after a long and emotional fight.
Now, I’m finishing the fight for Tessa. Jessica’s intentions to reduce my role in her life are clear, but I will not give up. I need your help to cover the legal expenses necessary to continue this battle, including fighting her false claims of a marriage.
Your support—whether through a donation or offering a kind word—means everything to me. I kindly ask that this GoFundMe remain within a small and trusted circle, as I wish to keep this matter private. I can’t do this alone, but with your help, I can bring Tessa back home, where she belongs.
Much of my family has already invested thousands of dollars to support me in this fight for custody of my kids, but I need additional help to continue this battle. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing by me and for believing in my fight to be the father Noah and Tessa deserve.
With love and gratitude,
Tyler
