Support Tyler and Teresa's Adoption Journey

Dear Friends and Family,

We’ve had many of you ask about setting up a baby registry to support our growing family, and we truly appreciate your love and enthusiasm. However, in the adoption process, it’s recommended that we wait to create a registry. This is because birth families can sometimes change their minds after birth, and there are other factors that might affect the timing of our plans.

That’s where YOU come in. While we are holding off on the registry, we are now focusing on fundraising to help cover the expenses of our adoption journey.

So far, we’ve personally contributed $4,500 of our own money towards the adoption, which covers part of the service fees. On top of that, with costs associated with infertility treatments and getting our home ready for our home study approval, we’ve already spent over $6,000 from our personal finances.

Now, we find ourselves at a crucial point in the process where fundraising is necessary. The total cost of adoption is significant, and we are aiming to raise approximately $15,000 to help cover these expenses. We understand this is a big ask, which is why we’re also investing our own money to contribute to the cause. Any funds raised beyond this goal will go towards purchasing baby necessities and future adoption-related needs as we continue to build our family.

We know that it can be hard to donate money without information as to where it is going, so we are providing a current financial breakdown and will update as we receive.

We are extremely conscious of finances and the future of our family. We want to remind you that we will save ANY "extra" support for our next adoption/family growing opportunity with infertility.

Breakdown:

AGENCY FEES

Application to Adopt: $350

Preparation and Education: $500

Pre-Placement/Home study $1,000

Guidance and Support: $2,700

Placement of Child: % of income (minimum $6,000; Maximum $10,450)

LAWYER FEES

About $1,500- This is best case scenario, but we want to be safe in case of issues arising so we want to raise about $2,000 and will go from there if other needs arise.

TOTAL: $17,500
