Support TXST BSAA get to BSA summit

We are the black student-athletes association at Texas State University. Our organization was established to provide black student-athletes with any resources and support they may need, as well as provide a community to make them feel at home here in San Marcos. Last year, a couple of our student-athletes had the opportunity to go to the BSA (Black Student Athlete) summit in Los Angeles, California. They came back grateful for the experiences they had, the great people they added to their network for a lifetime, and the new information they were able to learn at various forums and sessions. They were able to spend time with students and professionals from the top academic and athletic institutions from all over the country. Last year, the trip was funded by the DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) office. With recent state legislation changes banning DEI support, we need alternative support for our trip.
