Support Tukwila Pantry's Truck Repair Costs

Tax deductible
Tukwila Pantry needs a boost. We've just had a repair bill for $14,369 on our truck, and with the rental truck cost this is $16,856 of extra expense that isn't in our budget.
Our last fundraising event was in 2019, just before Covid hit. During the Covid 19 epidemic the Pantry was BUSY – so busy that the National Guard was called out to assist with handing out food several times per week.
We’re still busy. Since 2019 the number of families served per month has multiplied by 7. In November 2024 Tukwila Pantry will serve over 4500 families. Below is a comparison between November 2019 and November 2024.

  • Households served in 2019 - 619 ** in 2024 - 4,515
  • Pound of food served 2019 - 31,185 **in 2024 - 203,175
  • # of volunteers in 2019 - 142 ** in 2024 - 578
  • # of volunteer hours in 2019 - 815 * in*2024 - 2,572

The purpose of the Tukwila Pantry is to nourish the local community and increase the quality of living conditions for everyone in need. We provide food to help as many people as possible, across a vast array of peoples and cultures.
Tukwila, Washington sits under flight path of Seatac International Airport. Tukwila Pantry feeds Tukwila residents as well as people in the neighboring communities of King County.
