Transforming Trauma, a 501(c)(3) non-profit established in 2021, was founded to help at-risk children overcome adversity through creative expression and art therapies. After two years of planning, we formed our official working board, committees, and volunteers, and we launched our first summer creative camp at Harry Myers Park in 2024. This camp provides kids with a supportive environment to explore their creativity and develop essential life skills. Thank you to our Rockwall Parks and Recreation.
At TTkidsOrg Non-Profit, we believe in the power of creativity to transform lives. Right now, we have a pressing need—a transport vehicle that we can convert into a vibrant mobile art studio. This vehicle will enable us to bring artistic opportunities directly to our neighborhoods.
21 parks: 21 days “meeting the need where it’s at.” We are moved to offer goodness to latchkey kids. We know that from 4:00 PM to 5:15 PM, many children are out and about alone. Being present in the parks during this time, we can provide not just artistic engagement but also a sense of community and belonging.
This donation will not only assist us in acquiring the transport vehicle but will also fund scholarships for children who might otherwise miss out on these valuable experiences. Through our "Fast Pass" program, parents can pre-register their children, ensuring they have a spot in our weekly park activities. For those who may wander by, we’ll offer scholarships to ensure that every child has the opportunity to artistically engage and connect with peers!
We are incredibly excited about the potential of this program to grow into a cornerstone of our community. With your support, we can make creativity accessible to many children in Rockwall. Together, let’s create a brighter, more colorful community!
