We are asking the community for help for our good friend Trushang Desai and his family. Trushang and his family have always been supportive of the community whenever they were needed. Unfortunately, things have drastically changed and now they need our help.

Trushang was diagnosed with a rare neuroendocrine tumor/cancer in his sinus cavity last year. He bravely fought this with extensive surgery followed by chemo and radiation for a few months and even reached a negative PET scan. Unfortunately, the tumor came back in about 6 months and this time it was all over his spine, liver, and hip bones, causing him significant pain. He is fighting this once again with radiation and chemotherapy. It will be a long-term process that he has to go through with so much pain. He will be under palliative care (sometimes called supportive care) for many years to come.

Due to his illness and the constant care he needs, his wife is also not able to work. He has two children, a son (12 years) and a daughter (5 years) old, and we all can understand how tough this could be financially.

Please contribute however much you can to help/support his family through this difficult time. Continue to keep him and his family in your prayers and give him strength to keep fighting.
