My name is Tristan Burcroff, a Life Scout in Troop 414, and I am currently working toward the rank of Eagle Scout. Throughout my years in Scouting, service has always guided my steps, whether mentoring younger Scouts, volunteering at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center, or lending a hand wherever my community has needed one. Now, I have the opportunity to give back in a lasting and meaningful way.

For my Eagle Scout Project, I am building four raised vegetable garden beds at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. These gardens will provide staff, patients, and visitors with a peaceful outdoor space while supporting the hospital’s efforts to expand fresh, healthy food options for its community programs. Each bed will be constructed from 3x3x8 landscaping timbers, stacked four high, secured with rebar, and filled with 11 inches of nutrient-rich soil to ensure long-term growth and sustainability.

To bring this project to life, I am raising funds to cover the cost of materials, soil, and transportation. Any donation, large or small, will directly support the construction of these gardens and help create a space that will serve the Williamsburg community for years to come. Any donations left over will be saved until planting season in the spring.
