Trinity is a kind, determined, and resilient 17-year-old. After years of instability and navigating life largely on her own, she’s taking a big step toward a future she’s worked so hard for. She’ll be studying Criminal Justice at Edward Waters University, with hopes of making a difference for others who have felt overlooked or unheard.
My name is Whitney, and I’m a seventh grade ELA teacher who has had the privilege of knowing Trinity since she was in my class in 2019. Trinity made a brave and powerful choice to reach out to me when she found herself in an unsafe situation. After meeting with DCF, it was determined that the safest place for her was in my care. As her guardian, I’m doing everything I can to make sure she is safe, loved and starts college with the support she deserves.
This GoFundMe will help cover the essentials: dorm supplies, basic living needs, and a foundation of stability as we begin this new chapter. If you're able to give or share the link, it means the world. Trinity deserves to step into this moment feeling supported, seen, and celebrated. Any unused funds will go toward her ongoing college expenses like textbooks, meals, or transportation.
Thank you for being part of her village.
