Support Trejo Family's Recovery from Fire

Hello to our family, friends, and kind hearted strangers,

My name is Edith Cruz and I’m raising funds on behalf of my brother and sister in law, Macario and Nelly Trejo. In the early hours of January 29, 2025, my brother and his family suffered a huge loss when they were victims of an electrical fire that destroyed their home. Having to exit their home so quickly, they left with the clothes on their backs, a few things and their lives. Everyone is safe I am happy to say. However, they are devastated, with so many childhood photos, mementos, family heirlooms, irreplaceable items that were so dear to them, lost in this fire. They have been part of the Eagle Rock neighborhood for 30 years, all their children having gone to the neighborhood schools and my brother and one of his sons also teaching at the local high school. This is not an easy thing to share as they are private people but I believe in the power of community.

The future is uncertain for them at this moment. These funds will help them navigate through this tough time. Your help will allow them to address the many aspects of recovery and support them through this crisis.
