Travel to New Jersey to visit our daughter, Bridgette. As most of you know Bridgette has been diagnosed with Huntington's Disease and it is rapidly progressing. Bridgette is 41 years old and was diagnosed at age 31. She is far away from us and travel is very costly. We are in Alabama - she is in New Jersey. It’s not possible to bring her closer to home. Bridgette is in a facility that specifically treats Huntington's Disease patients. We know she is truly getting the absolute best care for her situation and also, the other residents there are going through the same thing so they are all in understanding of each other. The staff treat her like family and she loves them there.
We are asking if anyone knows any resources for hotel points / air miles or any AirBNBs or such in the New Jersey area that might would make the travel cheaper for us. Driving is 14 hours one way, without stopping so flying is our best option. I truly wish I could go up there and see her every single weekend or even stay up there but one weekend trip is $800 cheapest and it adds up fast. Huntington's disease is an inherited, chronic condition that breaks down the nerve cells in the brain. With the rapid progression of the disease our time to spend with her is rapidly decreasing. Any assistance is greatly appreciated as time is precious and something we can't get back.
Continuous prayers are so much appreciated during this time.
