Hi, my name is Alex and I’m starting this fund to support trans youth who are facing real danger, isolation, or crisis simply for being who they are. Right now, there are young trans people who are being kicked out of their homes, bullied at school, denied healthcare, or living in environments where they constantly have to hide or defend their identity. Many are struggling with depression or anxiety, and far too many feel like they have no one to turn to.

This is personal to me. I’ve seen trans youth suffer in silence. I’ve heard their stories and seen how hard it is just to survive day to day. Some are couch surfing. Some are trying to save up for therapy. Some are working multiple jobs just to afford food while they wait for a safe place to live. No one should have to go through that alone, especially not young people who are still trying to figure out who they are and where they belong.

That’s why I created this fund. The Trans Youth Safety Fund will provide direct, immediate support for trans youth in need. That could mean covering the cost of a hotel for someone escaping a dangerous home, helping with food and clothing, paying for transportation to a safe place, or covering therapy sessions and gender-affirming care when insurance doesn’t. Every dollar raised will go straight to the people who need it most.

My goal is to respond to emergencies and also create a sense of stability for those who don’t have it right now. I’m starting with youth I know or who reach out to me personally. As this fund grows, I hope to expand the support further and create something lasting and reliable for young trans people in crisis.
