Trakeyvan Dejay Handy, just 26 years old, was a loving father, a dedicated healthcare worker, and the heart of his family. After graduating from Crowley High in 2017, he moved to Lake Charles to follow his career and build a better life for his daughters, Iryale (7) and Aryale (3). Trakeyvan was known for his big heart, his sense of humor, and the way he brought joy to every family event. He was always there to protect and care for those he loved, and his presence made every gathering brighter.

Trakeyvan worked as a direct support worker, caring for an autism client who will miss him deeply. He was committed to helping others, both at work and at home. His daughters were his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them—whether attending family events or simply being together. Tragically, Trakeyvan lost his life to a random act of gun violence on July 20. His sudden passing has left a huge void in the lives of his family, friends, and all who knew him.

This fundraiser is to help cover funeral expenses and provide support for Iryale and Aryale as they face life without their father.
