UPDATE (10/21/2024): Thanks to your incredible generosity, we've raised almost 30% of our goal! Tracey and Julian are feeling hopeful about their future. When I spoke to Tracey this weekend, she told me, "we're overwhelmed by the love and kindness of people we've never even met."

They are currently working on securing a new vehicle, with help from FEMA support, your GoFundMe donations, and insurance payouts. Despite losing nearly everything, Tracey’s positivity is inspiring. She shared that even small comforts, like replacing her heating pad, have brought her so much joy.

Western North Carolina holds a special place in my heart, as it’s where I grew up hiking with my aunt, uncle, and cousins, who are long-term natives of the area.

Although my aunt and uncle were fortunate to be spared from the recent floods, their close friends, Tracey and Julian Chapman, were not so lucky. They lost their home, cars, and nearly everything they own. Tracey, a medical courier, and Julian, a skilled handyman, have been unable to work since their vehicles were flooded. They need help getting back on their feet.

For the rest of the month, I’m donating all of my yoga teaching earnings to the Chapman family, and I’m asking for your help to make an even bigger impact.

While their local community is helping with their immediate needs, they need support for long-term goals, like purchasing a new vehicle so they can return to work.
