Our hearts are broken today.
Last night Townhouse Cocktail Lounge was vandalized, leaving several of our windows shattered. While glass can be replaced, the feeling that someone intentionally targeted a space that means so much to so many is far more difficult to repair.
Townhouse has always been more than a bar. It is a home away from home. It is where people have found friendship, acceptance, love, and community. It is where countless members of the LGBTQ+ community and our allies have come together to celebrate, heal, laugh, and simply be themselves.
Waking up to this damage was heartbreaking. It was a painful reminder that safe spaces like ours still matter and still need protecting. But if there is one thing we know, it is that our community is resilient. We have faced hardship before, and we have always come together stronger than ever. An act of vandalism may break our windows, but it will never break our spirit.
Today, we are asking for the support of our friends, neighbors, allies, and community members. Whether you can help with cleanup, contribute toward repair costs, stop by for a drink, share this post, or simply send words of encouragement, every gesture reminds us that we are not alone.
To everyone who has reached out already...thank you. Your kindness, support, and solidarity mean more than words can express.
We will repair the damage. We will keep our doors open. We will continue to be a place where everyone is welcome, valued, and loved.
Townhouse is still here. And with our community beside us, we're not going anywhere.
With gratitude and love,
— The Townhouse Staff ️❤️
