Help Honor Thomas Bell with a Memorial Bench in Seal Beach!
We are reaching out to our community, friends, and family to help honor the memory of our beloved Thomas (Tom) Bell. Tom was a cherished member of our community, and we are raising funds to install a memorial bench in the beautiful city of Seal Beach, a place that held a special spot in his heart.
A Few Words of Remembrance:
As his wife, Deborah Bell, lovingly shared, "He was an amazing, dedicated husband, father, father-in-law, granddaddy, uncle, brother, and friend to all."
Tom was drafted into the Army in 1967, rising to the rank of Captain and serving a year in Vietnam. After leaving the Army in 1972, he attended the University of Maryland and began working in production, ticket sales, and security for major performers, including Bob Dylan. His grandfather was even a survivor of the Titanic!
Tom and his wife Deborah met in 1985, and she was immediately smitten by his graciousness and gentle heart. Tom touched the hearts of many, making friends wherever he went. He was always willing to help someone in need and connect people to help them succeed.
Why Support is Needed:
We believe a memorial bench in Seal Beach would be a fitting tribute to Tom, offering a place where friends, family, and the community can sit, reflect, and remember the incredible person he was. The cost for this memorial bench, including installation and a commemorative plaque, is approximately $5,000. The location of the bench the city approved will be at the end of the greenbelt, at 17th Street, in the picnic area.
Your generous contributions will help us create a lasting tribute to Tom, ensuring his spirit continues to be a part of the place he loved so much. We appreciate any support you can provide, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this campaign with others who knew and loved Tom. Thank you for helping us honor his memory and keep his spirit alive in Seal Beach.
