Support Todd in Recovery from Malibu House Fire
Donation protected
My brother's house burned down to the ground. It's gone. There are no words to express the feeling of seeing everything he worked for his entire life, all in ashes.
I remember Todd telling the story of how he first drove through Malibu in 1996. That trip launched his dream of one day living there! Through many life obstacles, including a near life-ending accident, hard work and dedication of launching his own businesses, he was able to see his dream fulfilled!
Todd invited me out to live with him in 2022 and I fell in love with the land, the neighborhood and had many great memories in the home I got to call my own for a year.
And then.... On January 8, 2025 he woke up to receive the devasting news, his house was one of many consumed by the atrocious wild fire storm in LA. He's carrying the heartbreak of his own loss and the loss of his neighbor's houses and lives lost.
As you can imagine, each day goes by, he has a haunting memory of one more thing lost. Any one that knows Todd knows motorcycles are his life. So much of his history in memorabilia is never to be seen again. So many "things" that just cannot be replaced like the ashes and pawprint of the late Zuma, his beloved girl who's barks still linger on the grounds there. (pictured above).
However, as many victims of the fire, the property is under-insured and he still responsible for many of the bills for a house he does not live in. There are many items left behind that will have to be replaced.
I asked him if I could start a fundraiser and he declined for some time. However, with his friends and family reaching out asking how they can help, he decided he would finally accept.
Additionally, Todd would like to take half of what is raised and donate to the California Wildlife Center, who will need an incredible amount of support as displaced pets and injured wildlife are transported to their center from shelters all over town. He will donate to the Marine Mammal Care Centeras well.
Thank you so much for anything you can give. It's not only monetary support, it's the love sent his way that I want him to feel. If you feel it on your heart to give, thank you! However, prayers and well-wishes are just as amazing!
Love you bro. Can't wait to see you build again, stronger and better. -Amy (little sis, LS)
