Incessant cases of school dropouts in various communities pose a significant challenge in Igboland, particularly in the Arondizuogu clan of Imo State, Nigeria. The alarming rate of school dropouts among less privileged families has become a pressing concern for traditional rulers, community leaders, and members of the Arondizuogu Patriotic Union (APU) in the United Kingdom & Ireland, chaired by Mazi Osita Okoli.
Investigations by the union have revealed that poverty, lack of access to quality education, and limited economic opportunities create a vicious cycle that pushes children out of school and into a life of hardship. When asked why they dropped out of school, many of these deprived young boys and girls frequently respond with "Onwehu onye ga azum," which translates to "There is no one to train me" or more specifically, "There is no one to sponsor my education."
Join APU UK & Ireland in our mission to guarantee that every school-aged child in Arondizuogu communities has the opportunity to attend school. Your support can make a meaningful difference in their lives!
