Hello, my name is Tim Jr., or TJ as my family calls me. I am the caregiver for my 96-year-old grandmother. She lives with me, and I do all the cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, and help her with her ADLs. I am currently a nursing student at RCC and work privately as a CNA/Therapy aide. I left my main job in Home Health to focus on school and my grandmother's care. We recently had a major electrical issue at our 100+-year-old house and are now without power. I have a good friend working for a local electrical company, and even with steep discounts, it's going to cost a few thousand dollars to fix. We require a new outside utility box and an inside breaker panel. My grandma is on a fixed income, and due to school and caring for my grandma, I don't have a lot of money either. Any little bit would help us out. I'm going to try to finance this repair, hoping I can make the payments. My grandparents were small farmers and, because of their land ownership, don't qualify for any assistance. If I have to sell off some land, so be it. Her care comes first! I finish school in July, and if I can just make it till then, I should be ok. Thank you again!
