A Queer Indigenous EMT Fighting to Stay Housed
Our beloved friend Tirzah is in crisis.
Tirzah is a queer Indigenous woman and a dedicated EMT who shows up for others every single day — offering care, stability, and life-saving support in a world that so often fails to offer her the same in return.
Despite working grueling overtime shifts, Tirzah is now facing the devastating possibility of homelessness. Months of unpaid rent and utilities have stacked up while she’s battled a chronic illness that has left her bedridden for long stretches, undergoing invasive procedures without access to the long-term care she truly needs.
She is a frontline worker, a caregiver, and a deeply compassionate soul — someone who gives her all to the community, even while her own health and housing are on the line.
Tirzah has been failed by a broken healthcare system and an increasingly unaffordable economy. She is exhausted, in pain, and scared — but not without hope. With your help, we can get her through this.
We are humbly asking for donations to help Tirzah cover her rent, utilities, and medical expenses while she focuses on healing. Any amount helps. If you're not in a position to give, please consider sharing this link far and wide.
Let’s show Tirzah the same care and love she gives to others. She deserves stability. She deserves rest. She deserves to stay in her home.
Thank you for standing with her.
