Tina and I have been real good friends for years, and right now she’s facing one of the hardest challenges a parent can imagine. Her daughter Ellie has been battling ITP for three years, and despite every effort, her condition hasn’t improved. Ellie is back in the hospital, and her platelet numbers are dangerously, life-threateningly low. Tina has had to stop working so she can be by Ellie’s side, making sure she gets the care and love she needs during this critical time.

This situation has put a huge strain on Tina and her family. She’s traveling back and forth between the hospital and home, trying to care for Ellie while also making sure her other child is safe and looked after by friends and family. The costs are adding up quickly—travel expenses, child care for her other child, and everyday bills are becoming overwhelming. Tina is doing everything she can, but she needs our help.
