Hi everyone! My name is Tim Dupre, and I’m currently a student at the University of Missouri pursuing a career in dentistry. This fall, I have been given an incredible opportunity to travel abroad with Mizzou’s Global Medical Training program to provide free medical and dental care to underserved communities in the Dominican Republic in January.

During this trip, I’ll be working directly alongside physicians and dentists, learning how global teams deliver compassionate care with limited resources. I’ll assist in patient intake, help provide preventive education, observe and take part in dental and medical procedures, all experiences that will strengthen my ability to serve others as a future healthcare professional.

What makes this experience so meaningful to me is that it aligns perfectly with why I chose dentistry in the first place: to combine compassionate clinical work with service that restores confidence and overall health. I’ve already seen how life-changing a single dental visit can be through my work as a dental assistant, and I can’t wait to extend that impact to communities that rarely have access to care.

However, this trip is self-funded, and I’m reaching out for support to help cover travel, lodging, and essential supplies. Any donation, no matter the amount, helps me take one step closer to making a difference.
