Hello everyone! My name is Tigran Perez. I'm a 17 year old high school junior and a member of Scout Troop 203 in Oakland CA. I am working to get my Eagle Scout Rank by the time I turn 18. My project will be to install fencing and repaint/refurbish a kiosk. I'm installing the fencing to shield the Redwood trees from damage caused by hikers and bikers. This will give the trees protection and a safe place to grow. As a mountain biker myself I have ridden at the park thousands of times and I want to give back to my community. Joaquin Miller Park is a beautiful city park full of coastal Redwood trees, native plants and creeks. The park is located minutes from the heart of Oakland and is enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds.
