After ten years and 4 miscarriages we are both shocked, though very happy, to be welcoming a baby boy into our lives. Given our fertility history, we had given up and started the process of letting go and planning a life for just the two of us. But here we are having a baby at a truly wild time in human and Earth history!

We’ve had some whacky luck the past 3 three years with things like emergency surgery bills for Tiffany, job loss, and economic/political shifts that hit us (and everyone) really hard. Both of us found ourselves in the job market looking for employment during historically high unemployment times. Needless to say, our savings were exhausted before we found out Tiffany was pregnant.

Though Tiffany successfully did find employment, their autoimmune disorder has made it impossible for them to work while pregnant leaving the full brunt of finances very suddenly and solely on Matthew’s shoulders. The loss of an entire stream of income has been challenging. In full transparency, Matthew is working 5 - 6 days a week but we are currently only making enough to cover our basic necessities and some of our hospital bills with little to no extra funds left for baby items or parental leave for Matthew to support Tiffany and baby postpartum.

We’re hoping for a little help from our community, though expect nothing. We know there is a lot of need out there for so many of us for very valid and important reasons.
