Support TheSpeediesProject (Heemz's take on a 350-mi ultra)

Hi all,

I am Heemz and I am taking on The Speed Project LALV SOLO (and calling it The Speedies Project hehe). It is a 350ish mile race from LA to Las Vegas, and yes... all on foot. BUT that's not all - the journey will be a little different - adding a few miles to stop by local community orgs/centers/shelters to drop off school/food/clothing supplies and connect with the people whose lands and communities we are running on. Hoping to do this very difficult thing with joy and intention, and excited to take you all along with me on this journey!

This is a fully self-supported race, so any amount will go such a long way. Love you all long time.

(My why: I think it's important to share why I signed up to do this, and I have to give credit to all my running communities, and particularly the other BIPOC and non-binary runners who have shown me how important it is to take up space and represent out there - to show that we BELONG and can do hard things. I hope this take on TSP is one that helps change the narrative of ultra-marathon running, a change that I do not believe is done by a person, but a collective, and that is the ethos in which I am taking this on.
