My name is Avani and I am currently in my final year as an MSci Physiotherapy student. This year, I have been given an amazing and rewarding opportunity to travel abroad with my university to complete an international placement with Therapies Unite.

Therapies Unite is a UK registered charity who operate in Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific coast of Mexico. They provide physiotherapy services including equipment to disadvantaged children and adults with physical disabilities. Their work includes postural management, education and provision of wheelchairs and specialist seating as well as hydrotherapy and physiotherapy. Without their help they would not be able to afford the necessary equipment and therapy.

This placement will allow me to use my skills to make a real difference while learning from professionals in a setting where resources are limited but the need for care is huge. It’s a chance to grow both personally and professionally and I’m truly grateful for it.

I’m kindly asking for help to raise £500, which will go directly toward supporting Therapies Unite and the vital rehabilitation work they provide. Any donation, no matter the size, would mean so much and will help make a meaningful impact for the communities we serve.
