On Friday, August 29th, our beloved teacher, colleague, and friend, Brianna Zabel, passed away unexpectedly. Brianna was an extraordinary person whose kindness, energy, and passion for teaching touched the lives of countless students, families, and coworkers. She was more than an educator—she was a mentor, a cheerleader, a leader, and a constant source of love and encouragement for everyone around her.


Brianna leaves behind her husband, Jonny, and their two young children, Cecelia and James, who are now facing life without their loving wife and mother. This sudden loss has left them not only heartbroken, but also with many unexpected challenges ahead. Brianna was both a passionate school leader and a dedicated teacher who cared deeply for every one of our students, always serving as their greatest supporter and advocate. She was a steadfast champion for our staff, someone colleagues trusted and sought out for guidance. Her devotion to the International Baccalaureate program and curriculum was unwavering, and she worked tirelessly to help our staff grow, meeting with them individually and in teams each week to provide encouragement, support, and inspiration. Her legacy of compassion, dedication, and leadership will leave an indelible mark on our school community.
