Dear Friends and Family,

As the ashes settle and my parents begin to navigate these uncertain times, I am reaching out with a humble heart to ask for your support.

Kevin and Kathy Young evacuated at 3:30 in the morning on January 8th and have been displaced since the morning of the Eaton Fire.

My parents are one of the few who's home is standing in Altadena despite their immediate proximity to the fires. However, aside from not having water or power, the safety of returning home remains uncertain due to the to the massive debris and toxins on their property and immediately surrounding their home.

Like many in the community, my parents are retired, and the costs to return home safely with the proper remediation are beyond what insurance will cover. My hope is to help support them as they navigate the uncertainty of how and when they can safely return home.

Altadena is where my dad was born and raised, it is where their 3 grandchildren are welcomed with open arms, and where so many of us have celebrated special occasions over the years. We look ahead with God's grace that they can once again open their doors and welcome us back, where they can watch their grandchildren grow and where they can continue to call Altadena home.

These funds will assist with needs that might not be fully covered by other sources of aid.
