Hello Friends of the Yoon Family -

My name is Austin - friends and former neighbor to Josh and his family, and I'm starting this GoFundMe so that we can coordinate and centralize all the help that has already been offered to the Yoon's. As a friend of the Yoon's, we all know how generous Josh and his family is to each of us with either their time or resources - now is our time as friends to step up and show up for them.

On December 9, the Yoons experienced an unexpected and devastating house fire. While we are all incredibly grateful that everyone made it out safely and without injury, their home suffered significant damage, leaving them suddenly displaced and facing an overwhelming road ahead.

In the span of a day, they lost not only their home but the stability and comfort that comes with it. As they begin the difficult process of salvaging what they can and navigating the search for temporary and long-term housing, they will need support to cover the many expenses that come with being uprooted so abruptly.

Funds will go directly toward:

• Temporary housing such as hotels or Airbnb

• Meals while they’re unable to cook at home

• Replacement of essential household items and personal belongings

• Clothing, toiletries, school items, and daily necessities for the kids

• Other unexpected expenses that come up during this transition

It’s often the little things we never think about — the everyday items we rely on without noticing — that quickly add up in a crisis like this. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference as they work to rebuild their lives and regain some stability. Obviously, feel free to help in your own way, but given the immediate challenges, we want to centralize the efforts so that Josh and Leah can focus their energy on their family and making decisions to get the family reestablished quickly - even more so because of the coming holidays.
