Hello all,

Many years ago, I met one of the sweetest, most caring women, Jamie. Two years ago, I met the love of Jamie’s life John, and together they are an amazingly beautiful and sweet couple. Seven months ago, God blessed their little family. Jamie was pregnant, and not with one baby, but two!

John and Jamie were ecstatic about becoming parents. As many of you probably have heard that with multiples that one baby will get more than the other, and that is what happened. The doctors were concerned that Jacob was much smaller, 1 pound, than his brother Ben, 2 pounds, and so just after Easter, April 1st, 2018, Jamie was admitted into the hospital for bed rest. The doctor’s watched and waited and did what they could, while the rest of us prayed, in the hopes that Jamie and the boys could hold out to 32 weeks or longer. God was good, and in three weeks Jacob went from 1pound to 3 pounds.

John, being the love of her life, and she being his, drove the 45 minutes one way to the hospital whenever he could to be with her. Often staying the night then driving an hour and a half to work the next day.

At 32 weeks the doctors, John and Jamie decided the boys needed to be born. That the pros of keeping them in utero for longer were out weighed by the cons, so on April 26, 2018 Benjamin and Jacob arrived . . . 8 weeks early.

Despite their size and how early they arrived, the boys are healthy. They are on baby c-pap machines and are currently eating via feeding tube, but they are here! Ben and Jacob will have to stay in the hospital for at least four weeks. Jamie had already been discharged from the hospital and home being 45 minutes away, was not an option. God blessed them with an amazing friend who is loaning them an RV to stay in, so they just have to walk across the parking lot to see their sweet babies.

John and Jamie are in love with their boys, and if love could pay the bills they’d be set. Unfortunately, that is not a form of payment the hospital currently accepts.

In the seven months that Jamie was pregnant, her and John made plans for their new life as a family of four. Jamie being an elementary special education teacher, was going to do her best to work for as long as she could with the hope of making it at least to May. That didn’t happen. They applied for Jamie to go on disability for when she had the boys so her income from teaching would be supplemented. She was denied. John and Jamie planned for the boys having to be in the NICU (Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit) for a short time after birth. The boys must stay for weeks.

For one of the sweetest, most caring women I know, the love of her life and their two adorable boys; I’ve set up this GoFundMe page in the hopes, and prayers that you feel called to help by either donating anything you can to help (gas money for John or money for food for Jamie in the RV, gas money for the RV); by sharing this page, so the world can meet John, Jamie, Ben and Jacob; by praying for this sweet family, or any and all of the above. Any little bit will help.

Bless you for taking the time to read this.

Sincerely,

Trisha
