As many of you know, Libby and Derek are loving parents who have spent the last 3.5 years opening their home to foster children in need. After having officially adopted their son this past August, the Wan's home has grown with the addition of two more foster children as they have exemplified what loving and engaged foster parents should be. Their most recently placed child had shown early signs of concern with their time at the Wans - specifically, abnormal head swelling. Being the attentive parents that they are, the Wans sought medical attention for the child. Upon the child's admission to the hospital, CPS was contacted  though the Wans have no history of anything resembling child endangerment. In addition, the child showed no signs of external abuse. The shocking and untrue allegations resulted in the presumptive pulling of both foster children from the Wans' care, in addition to their legally adopted child, though there was no evidence of physical abuse. 

Libby and Derek are currently living out every parents' worst nightmare and are fighting for both themselves - to prove their innocence and avoid false criminal charges - and for their children - to reunite their family in their known loving home. This battle has resulted in the need for medical experts to appear on the Wans' behalf in court. Several doctors have been consulted and agree that the child's injuries are due to a medical deficiency and not physical abuse.

Libby and Derek are known by all of their family, friends, church members and colleagues as kind, loving and humble people. They would not ask for your support if the unfair consequences they are facing were not so dire. Please consider supporting this family who has spent their lives helping others in need. Without the medical expertise needed for their impending court dates, this beloved and innocent couple could face their worst nightmare of losing their children and facing false criminal charges.
