Support the Vines family

Whilst we were working in Zambia, I (Paul) fell ill with a severe case of malaria at the beginning of April 2025. As my condition worsened, I was rushed from the local clinic with my wife, Julie, down to the capital for further treatment. Our children were brought down to join us the following day.

Once in hospital the malaria was cleared relatively quickly. However, as part of the routine clearance check, the doctors conducted an MRI scan of my head which showed a mass in my brain. The doctors advised that I return to the UK immediately for further investigation and treatment.

I flew back to the UK on the 13th April. Julie and the children followed the next day with a few of our belongings.

I was quickly seen and had a biopsy of the mass on the 17th April. We are now awaiting the results and a specialist review.

We are grateful that the mass was picked up, but this has been a traumatic experience for us all as a family. It has been particularly difficult to leave so suddenly and know that we will not return to our home to pack up and say goodbye.

Despite the many uncertainties we are facing regarding my health and the precarity of our situation (no home, no income) we are choosing to trust the Lord on a daily basis to guide and provide for us.

We are setting up this Go Fund me page as there have been a lot of unexpected costs and my role as School Principal comes to an end in August after which we do not know where our income will come from. Any financial help would be hugely appreciated.
