Support the victims in Ukraine

Tax deductible
On April 3rd, I will be running the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 mile race in Washington, D.C. As many by now have seen, a short few weeks ago, Vladimir Putin decided to invade the sovereign nation of Ukraine in his lust to gain power and land, which he long thought was lost. This conflict has led to one of the biggest humanitarian crises in Europe since the second world war. This conflict has become deeply personal for me as the son of immigrants from Ukraine. This war has affected both friends and family that I am close with. It breaks my heart to watch the events unfold on the news. This reason alone is why I have decided to dedicate my run to the victims of this ongoing crisis.

While running the race, I have decided to ask for your assistance in "sponsoring" me as I run the race by donating to a cause I strongly support. I have decided to support Nova Ukraine, a nonprofit located in California, whose goal is to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine and raise awareness about Ukraine in the United States and the rest of the world. Their organization is doing the best hands-on work to help refugees fleeing neighboring countries.

I have set the goal of raising $1000, or $100 per mile of the race. Although, even if this goal isn't reached, I believe any amount will go a long way in helping those affected on the ground.

Ukraine is a beautiful country with a distinct rich history. Having visited the country a few times myself, I saw this beauty and the strength of the Ukrainian people. With your help, I believe we can preserve their history, culture, and country. I appreciate all who are willing to donate or reach out in any way.

Disclaimer: This is a fundraiser only being done by myself. I am not part of a larger group or organization. I am just looking to do some good in the growing crisis.
