The Ursan family, close friends from our church community, are facing an overwhelming crisis. Danut Ursan, a devoted husband and father, has endured a year of hardship after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. Despite the challenges of treatment and recovery, Danut remained a pillar of strength for his family and a cherished member of our church choir. He also volunteered in the church kitchen, always ready to lend a hand and support others in need.
Tragically, just as Danut was overcoming complications from his illness, he was attacked outside his apartment in Chicago and stabbed multiple times. He is currently in the hospital being treated for his injuries. While by the Grace of God his condition has stabilized, he is unable to work and provide for his family. The Ursan family—Danut, his wife, and their two children, both full-time students—are now urgently searching for a new place to live to ensure their safety and begin rebuilding their lives.
Danut’s wife is working full-time, but the family is struggling to cover medical bills, living expenses, and the costs of relocating. Through all of this, the Ursans continue to put their trust and faith in our Lord Jesus. Our church community has witnessed their kindness, resilience, and unwavering spirit. By supporting this fundraiser, you can help the Ursan family find stability, safety, and hope as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. We humbly thank you for showing the love of Christ through your prayers and financial support for the Ursan family. God Bless you!
Update on Danut :
By God's grace Danut is out of the hospital and he and his family are recovering. They recently moved to a new location. And it was a blessing to have the Ursan family be with us last Sunday for church service. Danut sat in his usual seat in the choir. All glory to the Lord!!!
If God puts it on your heart to offer additional financial help to this family, please do so in Jesus's name. God bless you!
