As with most local Manhattan businesses, the TURNTABLE LAB STOREFRONT was forced to close in late March due to COVID-19. For the storefront employees this change happened with little warning, leaving most with no job and difficult financial situations.
The proceeds of this Gofundme will go specifically for Turntable Lab Storefront Employees who lost their jobs because of COVID-19 (and does not include employees that were transitioned to the online operation).
If you know about the Turntable Lab Storefront, you'll know that we have always put personal service and neighborhood first (we've been in the East Village since 2001). We're asking our customers (many who have been shopping with us for over a decade) and the music/DJ community to help us out.
* Have you received gear help or music recommendations at the store?
* Spent time browsing our vinyl or just hanging out?
* Enjoyed our free LIVE AT THE LAB in-store performance series?
* Enjoyed our Record Store Day festivities?
We're asking you for help to get our staff through a difficult period.
PS. If you can't help financially, you can help by spreading the word!
TURNTABLE LAB will be supporting this campaign by offering these prizes.
*** contribute $300 and get a private record shopping experience in the store with 25% off all titles.
*** contribute $100 and get a Turntable Lab Record Store Day Totebag
*** all others will be entered into drawing for Equipment / Merch giveaways.
