Support the troops by supporting this hero!

Support the 689th by donating to Singar and his family now!

Singar risked his life, and his family’s well-being by supporting the 689th Engineering Company in Afghanistan. As our interpreter, he served alongside our platoon while patrolling local roads to find and disable IED’s and other deadly threats.

Singar’s courage was tested on multiple occasions, but there is one defining moment that earned him respect, and a place in our hearts forever. In 2012, Singar willingly put himself in the middle of an extremely hostile situation and diffused what we believe would have been a deadly outcome, possibly claiming the lives of US and local forces, and civilians in the general vicinity.

No longer able to return to his former residence, Singar has been on the move, trying to migrate to the US since 2012.

Thanks to the diligent and persistent work of a few soldiers in our unit, and the collective efforts of many others, Singar, his young daughter, and pregnant wife are on the way to the US where they will find unwavering support from soldiers in the 689th (his new family).

Singar’s family will need all the help they can get to establish a new life in the US. A life they deserve for the sacrifices made.

Thank you!
