THE TOYBOX of Baton Rouge, Louisiana is a pay-what-you-can mobile coffee station with one main goal - increasing access to great coffee in the capital city.

Working in coffee for the last 5 years, peers and I have noticed a trend: specialty coffee is becoming less accessible to those who rely on it most - students, parents, and the working class - and becoming more accessible only to those with money to spare.

The ToyBox aims to make great coffee available to EVERYONE in Baton Rouge, whether they can afford it or not. It intends to accomplish this by sourcing coffee from local specialty roasters, such as RÊVE COFFEE and LUMA COFFEE, and combining it with low-cost homemade milks and syrups. The coffee station will operate in multiple areas, focusing near School Campuses, Community Parks, and Public Housing Authorities. It will also be available to hire for catering events upon request. All donations will go toward upgrading equipment, sourcing ingredients, and paying business partners.
