My name is Amanda Yeo and I am a fellow REALTOR®. I am organizing this campaign because I have had the privilege of working alongside Kelli Toomey many times throughout my career, and I can tell you firsthand that she is one of the most admirable people in this industry. Her professionalism, her warmth, and her genuine dedication to doing right by everyone around her are qualities I have witnessed up close, and they are qualities that make what happened to her all the more heartbreaking.

Many of you know Kelli. She has been a cornerstone of our real estate community for years, the kind of agent who shows up with integrity, pours her heart into every client, and has quietly helped shape the culture of professionalism we all take pride in. She is not just a colleague. She is someone who has made this community better simply by being a part of it.

Last week, Kelli and her family, her husband and their three children, had their entire life savings stolen in an instant.

Kelli was purchasing a home. She received what appeared to be official wiring instructions from escrow: the right account, the right numbers, the right format. Everything looked exactly as it should. She followed the process as she always has, as any of us would have. She wired her 20% down payment, the money the Toomey family had worked so hard to save.

When she reached out to escrow the next day to confirm receipt, her world collapsed. The email had been a sophisticated fraud. The wire was gone. Their entire life savings, gone.

Kelli did everything right. She immediately contacted the FBI, attempted to recall the wire, and has been working with attorneys to explore every possible avenue. This was not carelessness. This was a highly sophisticated scam designed to fool even the most experienced professionals. Wire fraud is targeting our industry at alarming rates, and it happened to one of the best among us.

This is not just Kelli's loss. This is the Toomey family's loss. A husband and wife and three kids who did everything right, worked hard, saved diligently, and had their foundation pulled out from under them through no fault of their own. Behind every transaction Kelli has ever closed, there was a family she was fighting for. Today, that family is hers.

Our real estate community is built on trust, relationships, and showing up for each other. This is one of those moments. Kelli has shown up for her clients time and time again, guiding families through one of the most important decisions of their lives. Now it's our turn to show up for her.

Every dollar contributed, no matter how small, is a message that the Toomey family is not alone. That we see them. That we've got them. That this community takes care of its own.
